Being a hairstylist has always been something more to me than just doing hair. People are what motivate me, seeing the light in your client’s eyes after you transform their hair and give them a boost of confidence. I’ve always believed if you feel good, you do good. From a young age, I’ve loved having conversations, listening to people’s stories, helping them solve the problem. I learned people love to feel good.
If you could turn your passion into a career, would you? This is what I thought to myself when I was in the middle of my freshman year of college where I didn’t feel like I belong, I didn’t have a purpose. Both my parents said to go to college so you can have a successful career. What’s life if there’s no passion?
Passion leads me to hair. The second I began making people feel beautiful I knew it was my purpose. I began working in eastern Washington in a small salon so I was able to live at home and save my money. It was fine for the time being but I knew I had bigger dreams than that. Seattle was my next stop, I truly excelled in my education and soon realized I had a real talent and wanted to know the ins and outs of the industry. I struggled to realize maybe the corporate salon atmosphere wasn’t for me. I knew the next step was to begin my own path, create my own brand and identity. I now own my own salon called Blonde in Tempe AZ. I am also fortunite enough to be a Fanola Pro and continue to educate others on my biggest tips and tricks in the industry. My level of passion and creativity just continue to excel and I couldn’t feel more blessed and excited to see what’s to come!
